How should I handle stat holidays worked by salaried employees?

How can I pay a salaried employee time and a half when they work on a stat holiday? Timesheet entries are ignored for salaried employees. How do I get the correct information through into the payroll?

Salaried employees can now be treated the same way as hourly rate employees - if their time for the day is entered against a Work item which has its Public Holiday Pay Code is set to Time and a Half, FlexiTime will reduce the Salary hours in the pay and add hours against Time and a Half in their place.

On the Work Category there is a field called Special Payment for Salaried Employees. If this field is ticked then any time recorded for this work will be included in the pay in addition to the salary.

So you could create a work category under Standard Work for example called Salary Stat Holiday and tick the Special Payment box. You should specify a pay code for the category that pays 0.5 the normal rate because the payment will be in addition to the salary.

Alternatively you could add an extra pay line to the employee's pay after it has calculated the pay from timesheets.
