Ensuring Excel Can Open Exported Reports


In July 2016 some Excel updates released by Microsoft prevented reports exported from the FlexiTime Report Centre from opening in Excel.

If you find that your report is not opening in Excel do the following:

Go to Internet Options under the Control Panel. A quick way to access this is to click on the Windows start button then type Internet Options and select the application that the search returns.

As shown in the image below, choose the Security tab, click on Trusted Sites, click the Sites button, enter https://www.flexitime.co.nz (or copy and paste) and press Add.


That should be all you need to do to allow Excel to open exported files from the FlexiTime report centre, though you may need to re-download any reports that were downloaded prior to the change.
