Charging Time and a Half for Working on Public Holidays

In the following example, a Charge Type has been set up for time that is charged using a job charge rate, where the employee is sometimes required to work on a public holiday. The time and a half that they are paid is passed on to the client.

The Rate Multiplier has been set to 1.5 - the charge rate against the job the employee works will be multiplied by 1.5. To use this Charge Type you would typically have two work categories against the work for the job, one for regular time and the other for working on a public holiday. The second would use this charge type. Typically the work categories would have similar pay rates assigned to them as well, causing the employee to get paid 1.5 times their pay rate.
